Song Phrase 1
Actually a shade below 6 kHz, but not low enough to
meet the core COFL standard.
|
Song Phrase 2
Tick nearly reaches 4 kHz, maximum frequency nearly 7 kHz, approaching
low end of PSFL range. Shape of middle note COFL-like, very similar to Warner Territory 10,
but shape of final note is PSFL-like. Overall, PSFL-like intermediate.
|
Song Phrase 3
The frequency range is intermediate. Emphasis of the tick is PSFL-like,
although PSFL rarely show the middle note at all.
|
Male Position Note
This intermediate note, with its long, flat, continuous middle portion, is like many from the zone of contact,
which appears to stretch from central Oregon to western Montana.
|
Female Position Note
This spectrogram shows an FPN just above a Song Phrase 1. Both are the right frequency
for COFL: the FPN is below 7 kHz, the song phrase is below 6 kHz (a little lower than the example
in the first spectrogram).
